About Portabra

Portabra is an invention that like many others was born out of necessity...
After successfully graduating with honors in 2006  from the internationally renowned Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City, Colombian-born 25 year-old Catalina Campillo relocated to Miami in hopes of starting a new business.  As many of you can relate, one of her biggest inconveniences in packing and unpacking every time she moved around, was where and how to pack her bras so that they would not get damaged.  On her shoestring budget, the last expense she needed was to buy new bras to replace ruined ones.
Searching for a solution, at first she went to local stores, then malls and before she knew it her entrepreneurial bug bit her and her quest was transformed into extensive market research on ways to protect her bras while she was on the road. She went to several of the most well-known lingerie stores and their sales associates amazed her with their creativity as they suggested that she either place a pair of rolled socks under each cup so that they would not get flattened in the suitcase; or to carry them in her carry-on bag wrapped in tissue paper.
With no solution to her problem, Catalina took it upon herself to develop something that would work. A year later, Portabra was born and she had developed a bra solution she was proud of, a product that she was confident had a place in every woman’s closet (or suitcase for that matter). As important as she knows bras are for us women, she worked tirelessly ensuring that Portabra was made with top quality materials, luxurious fabrics and beautiful prints. She hopes that all of you can also find in Portabra a way to make your lives easier… Once you travel with Portabra for the first time, you will probably wonder how you ever managed without it.

About Our Cause

Pink Diamond International, Inc was founded with the idea of creating a platform of innovative and practical solutions to improve women’s lives while continuously spearheading efforts that will improve the lives of little girls in need, or in other words the women of tomorrow, in a meaningful and impactful way. Portabra is one of these solutions.
With this cause in mind, we have created the Women of Today for the Women of Tomorrow movement, through which we donate a dress to a little girl in need for every Portabra sold. As simple as it sounds, new clothes have the power to bring a smile to a little girl, enhance her self-steem and make her feel cared for. Each dress drop will be documented through our website, so stay tuned for more updates. The locations of the donations are selected based on the quantity of dresses available, and include the U.S., Central and South America. There are countless girls suffering from poverty, abandonment and abuse but if caring people work together we can make a difference. Thank you for your support.
